FLUTE LESSONS

Emilia is a dedicated and accomplished flute teacher, having taught privately from her studio in Sydney since 2010, welcoming beginners, primary, high schoolers and tertiary students.

Emilia has taught for several years at the NSW State Schools Senior Music Camp as well as guest teaching the flutists from The Arts Unit (Department of Education). Emilia has also been a guest teacher for many band camp and workshop days across greater Sydney as well as adjudicator for the NSW Flute Society Eisteddfod Competitions.

Emilia's own extensive music education is what enables her to customise each lesson for her students depending on their needs.

Students of Emilia can expect a well rounded flute education, working on tone production, posture and breathing technique, musicianship skills and proper performance practises for Baroque music through to 21st Century repertoire.

Current and former students of Emilia have participated in furthering their ensemble skills in the Arts Unit State Music Camps & weekly programs, Australian Youth Orchestra programs, NSSWE & Northern Beaches Youth Orchestra.

TESTIMONIALS:

Wouter Klijn (father of current student Anika Klijn, 6th grade, Mona Vale PS)

"We have found Emilia to be a wonderful teacher for our daughter. Not only does Emilia have great technical abilities, but she also has a gift for delivering her instructions in clear and precise language. Emilia provides the right level of encouragement and guidance, which means our daughter looks forward to her music lessons. And the results have shown. In a recent assessment report for her school band, the conductor wrote that she couldn’t believe our daughter had been playing the flute for less than a year."
